What made you want to get involved with the Plainview Area Endowment?

I always enjoy being involved with organizations whose sole purpose is to make our community better.

What is the most rewarding part of being on the board?

Having the ability to work with community leaders and to try to make the most out of limited resources

What is one thing you wish people knew about the Plainview Area Endowment?

I hope that we can spread awareness of the Endowment, especially with the imminent end of the United Way. This will be a great vehicle to foster more and more positive projects and endeavors in our community through existing and yet-to-be-dreamed of non-profit organizations.

Very few of us have the financial resources to affect change and to spur growth and progress by ourselves. But the Plainview Area Endowment pools our resources in order to realize the vision of a better Plainview and Hale County. Our local organizations should really look into applying for funding as well; the application process takes some work, but it is manageable, and the good folks at the Community Foundation office are always ready and willing to assist with questions.

Being part of the Plainview Area Endowment allows me to contribute to meaningful community improvements. The most rewarding aspect is collaborating with local leaders to maximize limited resources. I hope more people recognize the Endowment’s role, especially as the United Way nears its end. This initiative will support both existing and future nonprofit projects that benefit our community. Just like community efforts need careful planning, assignment proofreading help ensures academic work is clear and polished.
